Gig Garcia is one of those very gifted and select musicians that can perform proficiently on more than one instrument - at the same time. It is amazing to watch him play keyboards and bass guitar simultaneously, while singing! Along with his touring and extensive session credits he is an accomplished songwriter, commercial jingle writer, producer and Emmy award winner. Respected as a remarkable musician Gig has also added acting credits to his résumé with his performance in the 1996 Touchstone Pictures release “Phenomenon” which featured John Travolta, Kyra Sedgwick, Robert Duvall and Forest Whitaker. He is also seen in Eric Clapton's "Change the World" video.
Lare Garcia is a respected recording and performing artist recognized for years on the west coast as a premier guitarist and studio musician. Graduating from the Los Angeles Recording Workshop Garcia is also a talented producer and recording engineer. He loves to perform and his distinctive guitar style been described as “passionate” and strongly influenced by his idols Jimi Hendrix, Laurendo Almieda, Jeff Beck, Terry Kath (Chicago), Eric Clapton, Bolo Sete, Neil Giraldo (Pat Benatar) and Carlos Santana. For years Garcia was founder and director of "Rockin' for Kids". This non-profit organization was designed to assist various child sexual abuse program centers and hospices for terminally ill children in the San Francisco Bay Area via the Jennie Garcia Memorial Concert Series. Garcia has also spoken to elementary, middle and high school students in California and Washington state regarding continued education and ear protection awareness.
Originally from the Bronx, New York, Jim Grayberg started playing drums at age 5. Studied percussion with Peter Silio. After moving to Los Angeles, continued music education with a major in music. Began playing professionally at age 15 in the local L.A. area. Performed with numerous recording artist( Eric Pressley "Transistor" David Arkenstone. Recorded sessions with David Kitay composer/perfomer of "Mad About You" fame and producer Amy Heckerling's major motion picture "Look Who's Talking". Relocated to Sacramento, CA in 1991. James formed the 8 piece "Contraband" in 1992. While mantaining a busy schedule with "Contraband" James began performing all around with the Bay areas own "Garcia Brothers". During his 2 year stint, The Garcia Brothers shared the bill with the likes of Tower of Power, Sergio Mendez, Lou Rawls and many others. James is also a founding member of the jazz group "Interplay" which was the proud winner, from amongst 40 participants, of the KXJZ and Avenue Records Jazz contest in 2000.
Born in an igloo in the frozen tundra of northern Wisconsin, Dave Schuler started playing keyboards at age 9. His stylistic roots span multiple genres including jazz, rock, pop, country and classical music. He’ll even admit to playing a few polkas (hey… he’s from Wisconsin). He cites Jimmy Smith, Keith Emerson and Chick Corea as early influences. He began playing professionally at age 15 and graduated from the University of Minnesota majoring in Music and Computer Engineering. His performing career has found him in venues across the USA; Canada; Puerto Rico and as far away as Beijing, China sharing the stage with artists as diverse as INXS, Randy Brecker, Badfinger, the Replacements, Guess Who, Billy Preston, The Rembrandts, Wendy O Wilson and Prince.
